What is Hypnotherapy

With over 30 years of experience in women’s health, general practice, contraception, sexual health, and menopause care within the NHS, I bring a wealth of understanding to your sessions. This clinical background, combined with training in Clinical Hypnotherapy, NLP, CBT, coaching, and mindfulness, creates a unique and holistic approach to your wellbeing.

Whether you’re navigating menopause, exploring fertility or family planning, or seeking freedom from habits and emotional patterns, hypnotherapy provides a safe, supportive space to move forward. Liz was recommended to me by a friend for hypnotherapy, which is something I was interested in trying when I was pregnant but did not know where to start. I had three one-on-one sessions with Liz which were so helpful for a beginner like me. I was a bit sceptical on how much I would be able to zone out during the relaxations, but Liz made it very easy to relax and tailored the visualisations to what worked for me. Liz also has a background in healthcare and was very knowledgeable about the practical aspects of labour and preparing yourself for it. I ended up having a long labour and it helped to visualise the pain and anxiety levers we had spoken about during our sessions. I think hypnotherapy was a great way to distract myself during and in between contractions and I’m really glad I had these tools to use when I was in labour.
